Glove Fit, Sizing & Care

Glove Fit

It is important to know all Advantage Goalkeeping gloves are made using either Neoprene or Airprene materials to construct the backhand. This means our gloves are highly flexible and have incredible breathability. A few of our models have a snug, second-skin feel as compared to traditional gloves made with mesh material and latex backhands. Other models are made with a little room in the fingers to provide additional freedom of movement. None of our gloves will leave you feeling as though your hands and fingers are 'swimming' in the glove.  See videos below.

How Our Gloves Compare To Other Brands

The following is based on our own direct experience wearing other brands. Check out our glove reviews and comparisons here

Sizing

HOW TO SIZE: To determine your goalkeeper glove size, measure the circumference of your palm just below your knuckles, without your thumb. Round up to the next whole inch, and then add 1 to determine your size. Measure both hands, and if the measurements are different, order the larger size for the most consistent fit.

Example: if your hands measure 6.5" to 7.0", then you add 1" = size 8 goalkeeper glove. Measure the circumference of the part of your palm just below the knuckles, excluding your thumb.

Glove Care

Be sure to pre-wash your new AGK gloves before using and leave to dry naturally in a cool and dry place. Do not place on radiators or use a clothes dryer. Use warm water. Wash your gloves after every 2-3 training sessions and games to prolong the life of the latex.

Latex is an abrasive material and some evidence of wear is totally normal even after the first use. The grip will not be damaged. Occasionally white latex can go yellow or pink this is also normal.

Negative cut gloves will always fray at the finger tips, this again is normal and will not effect performance.
